Nadja I don't think they will simply because Teslas core demo could care less about motorsport. I mean Formula E is kind of a ridiculous concept regardless. As the Green people calling for the demise of motorsports and killing of combustion are not racing fans, they're not interested in the sustainability of the sport nor will they become interested in the need for terminal speed.

Who will the fans be? Certainly not fans of traditional motorsport, and certainly not those who forced it upon the world???

Could Tesla get Involved in Formula E?

Mind you there is no basis for the idea besides the fact that Formula E got itself underway just this weekend. Audi and Mahindra are the notable automotive players involved but names like Andretti and Virgin are also at the pointy end. There is big money pouring into the series, of course Tesla is still inchoate as a manufacturer at this point and the series is still spec at this point so the marketing value is not maximized.

However in a few years why should they not propagandise their technology, especially if its that much better...

Anyways, video highlights from the first weekend of silent racing. I still can't believe they're calling them ePrix's YUCK...
