Forget the Keys...

Tesla is about to make you iphone your car key. As in unlock start and go. Not like other systems that still require the actual key to be around for the app start to let you drive off...

Great feature to have, I use my smartphone for just about everything so having this APP replace my keys is great.

I'm just not convinced that taking out my phone to open the car is actually more convenient than taking out a key. I guess it would be useful if you needed to start your car and forgot your car though.

its not about a phone being more convenient than a key, its about not carrying a phone AND a key...

and these days keys can be bulky.
fortunately the odds of having your phone mess to a point you can't access you car are slim, and if they're smart they'll give us a wallet key.
