Post Tesla is offering a less expensive way to own a Model S

Tesla just announced a new leasing program for Model S..

Quote:
Tesla Motors Inc. unveiled a leasing policy for its new Model S with an option for buyers in the United States to return the car within three months of purchase.

U.S. Bank will offer a lease for buyers of the new Model S, lowering monthly lease payments by as much as 25 percent, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a blog post dated Oct. 25.

If not satisfied and the car is returned within three months of purchase, the remaining lease obligation will be waived, Musk said.

Not a bad deal at all, 3 months is great length of time to know if you really like a vehicle or not. Hopefully it works out well for them.

Yes but its not all rosy, if you return your car there will be a period where Tesla will not allow you to reorder another one...

it's good they do that as i am sure there will be people who take advantage of the system and there might be more reasons to that.

A small plus side to this is in the end they will have more happy long-term customers since within that 3 months, you'll find out if you don't like it, unless you're not driving it too often.

The only thing to not like after are things aside from how the vehicle drives, it's features, etc...
